Dogs and cats, which belong to the snub-nosed breeds, have anatomically narrowed airways and consequently shortness of breath. The stress caused by transport or high temperatures at the departure, transfer or destination airport can lead to circulatory problems and thus increased respiratory distress. The animal can suffer serious damage to its health or even die during the journey.
These animals must therefore be prepared as well as possible for the upcoming journey. You should check with your veterinarian about possible sedatives or bring a blanket/cushion with a familiar smell.
